- Some footage of an impromptu "Tamiya Big Tire" gathering that happened at Carnosa RC Park. Several Lunchboxes as well as Midnight Pumpkins, Wild Willy's and a Konghead. It was a blast! 👍 I ran my (almost finished) Lunchbox, but as I hadn't planned on shooting footage didn't bring any camera save for my phone. So no footage of my "Dreadbox". 😁
The Konghead is running a 17.5T motor and the high speed gear set from Square. It was quite fast and drifted around corners!
So many nice models🤩
Now that looks like it would be a fun racing series!
It would certainly be interesting! On a carpet track the Lunchbox is impossible to drive fast and a challenge just to keep the wheels on the ground. 😁

LOL! I can see this being absolutely hilarious running a bunch of them around the track!!! The Konghead may be the one with the biggest advantage out there! It is going to be the most stable of any of them! I love the track you go to, they seem to make sure it is fun and not just about competing with each other!
It was a laugh and good to see such a cool variety of Rc's on the track. The Lunchbox drove better than I expected, but nevertheless hopped and bounced around. The Konghead was quick - it had an optional high speed gear set. It was cool to see it drift around the corners! 😁

I am Glad you share some lunchbox mini racing get together, the van looks awesome with all the unique retro designs it will be a great conversation piece, but for me with that slow challenging driving and very limited maneuverability, i will definitely pass in getting one. But awesome video and thanks for sharing.

What mods were allowed for this race, or was it an anything-goes kinda meet?
It wasn’t an “official “ race or meet, so everyone was free to run what they pleased. It was good to see so many big tire rc’s running on the track. 👍
